Hey - Happy June! Check out this web site for Finca Ixobel near Poptun. It's a touristy backpacker-type resort we camped at this past weekend. Much cooler temperatures up there - a nice break from the Peten heat. http://www.fincaixobel.com/. So we camped using a mosquito net and cots - much cooler/breezier than the tent we thought. We set up 2 light weight low-to-the-ground cots (Katrina and Kaitlin helped me buy mine at REI a few weeks ago) and a mosquito net hooked to a tree branch above us and tucked under a tent rain fly underneath - it worked out great!
