Well, it's the end of day 2. We got a late start heading out of Tampico but enjoyed a scenic, although somewhat chaotic at times, drive through coastal Veracruz. After going through the undulating limestone mountains and coastal flats, I am definitely inspired to revisit this area much more thoroughly sometime in the near future. We were shooting for Minatitlan but we were running behind (spent time enjoying mariscos y pescados at a seaside restaurant) and had to stop for the night in the Hotel Roma in Cosamalopan. We plan on getting an earlier start tomorrow and shooting for ???? ummm eventually the beaches of Tulum but hopefully some Mayan ruins in between. Later!!!
